Students in Mr. Kuletsky’s High School West Creative Writing class recently found out their submissions to a writing contest have been chosen for publication!
The students were asked to write a captivating mini saga in fewer than 100 words, and then submit their work to the following horror writing contest: Fright Club—Enter If You Dare (Young Writers, est. 1991).
“Our aim here at Young Writers has always been to get kids to be passionate and confident writers…Choosing work is, to an extent, subjective and editors’ preferences do come into it. However, to achieve our aim of encouraging young adults to enjoy creative writing, our editorial policy takes a broad view of what makes a good story: perception, imagination, and creativity are important as well as expression, originality, and use of language” (Lynsey Evans, Editor).
Congratulations to all!
